Quorum Public Affairs, Inc. Announces New Line of Service for Emerging Companies

Austin, Texas-August 30, 2007 Quorum Public Affairs, Inc., an Austin-based public affairs firm, is announcing a new line of consulting service for emerging companies in Texas.  The announcement was made today at a statewide conference hosted by the Texas Emerging Technology Fund attended by economic development and state officials, investors, and entrepreneurs.

This specialty line of service will focus on connecting emerging companies with public and private sources of capital. To ensure companies grow over the long term, Quorum Public Affairs will continue to support these companies with essential professional services including strategic communications, public relations, and government sales.

Quorum Public Affairs President Craig Casselberry is a 20 year veteran of state and national politics and a former senior aide to two Texas Governors, including Governor Rick Perry.  He has managed more than 100 public policy issue and crisis communications campaigns through his company. While clients include half of America’s companies in the Fortune 50, Casselberry feels the new line of service will meet the needs of small to mid-sized companies by providing access to long term capital.

“Our experience advising companies in various stages of their business cycles has resulted in success for client companies in the medical device, renewable energy, communications technology industries and more,” said Casselberry.  “To help our clients gain access to early stage capital, we maintain relationships with investors of various sizes and industry specialization in Texas and across the United States.”

Not only should companies have better access to capital, but Casselberry believes that a company’s business growth strategy should also include a fully-integrated public affairs, government affairs, and corporate communications strategic plan. This strategy is essential for achieving success in the legislative and regulatory arenas and to expand markets for its products and services.

Last week, Quorum Public Affairs was instrumental in helping to secure more than 2 million dollars in private and public funding of a potentially life-saving cancer diagnostic device currently being developed by a San Antonio medical device company called Seno Medical Instruments, Inc.

“Quorum’s work positioning Seno Medical with the media and facilitating strategic relationships has been invaluable to our business strategy. I would recommend any emerging company work with Craig and his team toward a long-term growth plan,” said Janet Campbell, Seno Medical Instruments CEO.
